University of Calgary presents results in Halifax from their evaluation of Rapport’s Teen Leadership Breakthrough Course

The University of Calgary recently presented results in Halifax on “The Effectiveness of the Rapport Teen Leadership Breakthrough Program in Supporting the Development of Interpersonal Skills” and “Using the Teen Leadership Breakthrough Program to Improve Intrapersonal Outcomes.”

The university study shows that Rapport Empowered Education’s Teen Leadership Breakthrough graduates experience sustainable changes in self-esteem, self-awareness, self-confidence, and core values, which is important because youth with positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and resilience are likely to have greater success in academic, social, and vocational endeavors. The University presented its findings at the 69th Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Annual Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 12, 2008.

Rapport’s Teen Leadership Breakthrough incorporates experiential, interactive, and simulated learning and direct instruction and feedback. The activities are designed to enhance participants’ understanding of themselves as they learn self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional recognition.
